Back in business

Newer versions of Palace and the server are coming, and a big plan to revitalize the community. Jon_K and Pawn have teamed up to revitalize The Palace community in a big way.

Jon_K is heading up server development and building a new Palace host and plans to make a web-based version of the client possible to bring todays generation of internet to the Palaace ecosystem we love. Pawn is working on a new client to support all the features of the new server, and fix security and stability issues with the old client.

Once we are ready we will advertise the systems on social media so we can try and revitalize the community with hundreds of new members a day.

Server

This new server shall have no corrupt prop bags, will have extremely few crashes, and have constant stability improvements. The ban system will utilize information from Pawn’s new client to make jumping bans virtually impossible, banned means banned. A new wizards/gods web interface is being built to make administration on the go a breeze. The files upload interface is completely web based and drag and drop from your computer, no more FTP!

Client

Pawn and Jon are working on bringing new features to the Palace client. This includes minigames built in to the side of the chat window so people in the room can observe and play games. A revolutionary new avatar editor is in the works.
